MD Gov. Hogan proposes budget for FY 2019

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan is announcing his fiscal 2019 budget. The plan is comes in around $17. 7 billion, which the governor says includes record funding for schools, aggressively addresses the heroin and opioid epidemic, and fully funds environmental programs. According to Gov. Hogan, the plan does not increase taxes or cut spending, and leaves $1 billion in reserves. The governor will officially present the budget to the state legislature later today.
