Millsboro Middle School students represent Delaware in national science & technology competition

Group of Millsboro Middle School students are finalists of a national science and technology competition. Eight 6th-graders from Sarah Betlejewski’s science class are representing Delaware in the “Solve for Tomorrow” contest, where teams in grades 6-12 compete to show how science, technology, engineering, art and math can be used to help their local community.

The group won the competition in Delaware by making tools to attach to things like wheelchairs and crutches to help people with physical injury or disability with everyday tasks, bringin home a $25,000 technology prize package for Millsboro Middle School. The students are now continuing their work and will compete against the other state finalists for a $150,000 top prize later in February.
