UPDATED – 7/3/19  3PM – The Recreational Water Advisory issued by DNREC for North Indian River Inlet Beach has been LIFTED.  The water sample from North Indian River Inlet Beach was below the recreational water quality limit and the swimming advisory for North Indian River Inlet Beach has been lifted. For more information go to http://apps.dnrec.state.de.us/RecWater/

=================================================

Recreational Water Advisory issued by DNREC for today until Wednesday afternoon for North Indian River Inlet Beach because of bacteria levels above the recreational water quality standard. These bacteria most likely originate from wildlife sources and increased rainfall, waves or wildlife feeding near the surf (shorebirds, marine mammals or other warm blooded animals) can result in these indicator bacteria washing into the near shore waters. A water quality sample has been taken at North Indian River Inlet Beach and the advisory will be lifted once indicator bacteria levels are within the recreational water limits.
