Hermann-Financial

The City of Salisbury is receiving a half a million dollars in state revitalization funding to build its new Riverwalk amphitheater. The funding was included in Governor Larry Hogan’s 2019 budget and continues an investment into Salisbury from the state; the city received $1 million in 2018.

“Governor Hogan has had Salisbury’s back at every opportunity,” says Mayor Jake Day. He says the funds will create a place where people want to be, not just during the National Folk Festival but well into the future. The city hopes to begin construction on the amphitheater in March complete it before the National Folk Festival in September.
