Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 04/22/26

Winter returned on Tuesday morning with lows in the 30s and a freeze warning.

Old Inlet Bait and Tackle reported, that in spite of the cold, a hardy angler fished the North Jetty at Indian River Inlet early in the morning and caught the largest striper of his life on a soft plastic.

Captain Bones in Odessa told us the striper bite continues at Dobbinsville, Greens Beach and Woodland Beach with bloodworms and cut bunker the prime baits. These fish range in size above and below the 28 to 31-inch slot with a few falling inside the slot.

Carol at Taylored Tackle in Seaford had some interesting news to report. It seems that striped bass have followed the herring up Broad Creek to the spillway in Laurel. Of course, while you may catch both you cannot keep either one.
