Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 05/15/26

Thursday began with rain and by the time it was over most fishermen had called it a day. Besides the wind and rain the water is still pretty cold measuring 55.2 degrees at the Delaware Lightship Buoy and 57 degrees at Lewes.

The best news I had came from Edgewater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park. They reported a run of blues measuring from 20 to 35 inches that showed up from dawn until the high tide played out along the beach and from the pier on poppers.

Dan at Dan鈥檚 Tackle on Route 1 in Milton said when the weather allows, black drum, blues and striped bass have been caught from Broadkill Beach. The black drum take clams and sand fleas, the blues hit cut mullet or bunker and the stripers will take cut mullet or bunker or bloodworms.
