Wallops Launch Leaves A Glow In The Sky

People across Delmarva were captivated by a glow in the sky Wednesday evening.
As it turns out, it was the result of a launch from NASA Wallops Flight Facility on the Virginia Eastern Shore.
A three-stage suborbital sounding rocket was launched for the Department of Defense. The mission is to “study ionization in space just beyond the reaches of Earth’s atmosphere.”
