WGMD Fishing Report 10-2-20

bill-o

Thursday saw some rough weather in the morning, but it did lay out a bit by afternoon.  Not many boats sailed and those that did reported a mixed bag with sea bass, flounder and triggerfish.  Friday looks to be even rougher and we may not see to many fishermen on the water.  The weekend still looks good.  The best bet will be sea bass over ocean structure.

At Lewes Harbour Marina the report was the Katydid came back from ocean structure with flounder, sea bass and triggerfish.

In Ocean City, the Morning Star was able to limit out everyone on board with sea bass plus a few triggerfish.

At Old Inlet Bait and Tackle, they said fishing has been very slow in the Inlet and along the beach.

Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em said the Judy V had some sea bass on her morning trip.

I did have a report of more sheepshead caught from the fishing pier at Massey’s Landing.  I suspect sand fleas have been the best bait.

The Bill Slayer came home with five nice yellowfin tuna even after a shark took a chunk out of one.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD Fishing Report.
