Thursday saw perfect fishing weather and it is supposed to continue right through the weekend.  For whatever reason, very few people are fishing, but those that are, have found success from boat and beach.

Deanna from Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em sent us a report and photo of Susan Krepshaw and her 8.2-pound rockfish caught out of the Indian River Inlet.  She also reported that a private boat came in from Site 10 with a catch of tog.

At Old Inlet Bait and Tackle, Emmett Kelly told us he caught a 6.2-pound large-mouth bass out of a pond in Ocean View.  It is the largest bass he ever caught.  Rockfish in and above the slot have been caught on the change of tide by working big swimshads and bucktails close to the bottom.  Julie Stevenson and Mike Fischer caught shad and bluefish on Wednesday evening from a boat out of the Inlet.  A few blues and kings have been caught out of the surf, but it is mostly big rays.

Tommy at Lewes Harbour Marine said the Surface Tension had a catch of tog on Wednesday.
