WGMD Fishing Report 5-18-21
Tuesday was yet another great weather day and it only gets better right through the weekend. I know we cussed the wind all spring, but now let’s praise the fantastic conditions as long as they last.
Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina wanted to remind everyone that the Joe Morris Memorial Canal Flounder Tournament will be this Friday. You have until 7:00 AM on Friday May 21 to enter, but don’t wait until it’s too late. Make sure to pick up a tee shirt as well. All proceeds go to the Pancreatic Cancer Network. She also reported that Bayley Morgan fished reef sites with squid and clams to catch a 3.35-pound citation sea bass. The Surface Tension with Keith Beebe had a half-day trip and managed to catch sea bass and the first flounder of the year on the boat.
Old Inlet Bait and Tackle said kings have been caught on bloodworms and Fish Bites with Three Rs Road a good location. If you are catching sharks and skates, move, because that’s all you are going to catch there. Shad are still at the inlet.
