WGMD Fishing Report 5-19-21

Wednesday was another wonderful day to be alive and living at the beach.  Light winds, warm temperatures and lots of fish to be caught.  The next few days will see the winds stay light, but the seas will begin to build to as much as five feet in the ocean over the weekend.

Delaware recorded its first tuna on Tuesday.  The Gringo Loco with Captain JT, Colleen Bailey and Grier Wakefield found 62-degree water in the Wilmington Canyon where the caught the 31-pound bluefin tuna.  They also had a nice catch of blueline tilefish.  They landed their catch at Lewes Harbour Marina.  Drew Moore, fishing with his family on their boat Super Fishous, caught a Delaware Citation sea bass weighing 3.04 pounds.  He was using squid and clams for bait.

Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina reported that on Wednesday the Katydid and the Savannah Lyn both brought in boat limits of sea bass.  Robbie, who works at Lewes Harbour Marina, went fishing in Delaware Bay on Tuesday night and caught a large black drum.
