The Charter boat No Limit went out to the Baltimore Canyon and went 18 for 37 on yellowfin tuna. Capt. Jon Azato, Mate Jason Dietterick, Colin Brennan, Nick Grupeich, Siraj Hussain, and Noah Hussain-Siraj of New Jersey, Greg Wilson, and George Nikoloff of PA landed most of their tuna on spreader bars but had a few on ballyhoo as well.

The crew from “Geaux n Deep” fished in the Baltimore Canyon using spreaders bars and ballyhoo to hook up with this 62.4lb yellow fin. Edward Mench of New Castle, DE, Trey Obermire of Felton, DE, Justin Strouse of Camden, DE and Capt. Aaron Piper of Camden,DE also caught 6 more keeper fish.

Wednesday saw partly cloudy weather with a nice south to southeast wind so I went surf fishing on Three Rs Road.  I arrived around 8: 30 AM to a flood tide and tried to fish with two rods.  The critters were stripping my bloodworms so fast I had to go with one rod that I held as I slowly cranked the rig in a stop and start action back to the beach.  That worked and I ended the day with five nice kings as I replaced the bait after every cast.

My friend Bob Baker fished the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal and the Broadkill River with a friend on Tuesday catching 27 flounder with five keepers.  Last week he took a trip to Quimby and managed 31 flounder with seven keepers.

Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina told us about Shaun Trude who caught a 3.76-pound triggerfish off of ocean structure while on the Katydid.  The rest of the party had a mixed bag of sea bass, ling and trout.

Burt at Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em said the Captain Ike had seven yellowfin on Wednesday.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing Report.
