WGMD Fishing Report 6-29-20

Sunday was another beautiful summer day.  Fishing was good in the Delaware Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, but not so hot along the surf.

At Lewes Harbour Marina Tom said the Katydid had 31 flounder and some sea bass for her party over ocean structure.  The head boats from Anglers fished Delaware Bay for kings and croaker.

At Dan’s Tackle Dan told us the reef sites in the Lower Bay have seen some good fishing for kings and trout.  Sites 6 and 7 have been especially productive.  Bloodworms, clams and FishBites have been good baits for the kings and trout.  Some flounder have been taken off the same structure on jigs baited with Gulp!  Nuclear chicken has been a popular color.

Lighthouse View Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park saw good spot fishing on Sunday with a few flounder taken close to the pilings.  Bloodworms for the spot with live minnows or Gulp! for the flounder.

Deanna at Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em said the Judy V and the Captain Bob had flounder on their trips on Sunday.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing report.
