WGMD Fishing Report 6-3-19
My Girl fished the Baltimore Canyon today using ballyhoo on spreader bars and caught this 157.4lb and 68 inch long blue fin tuna. John Klerlien, Billy Hein both of Millsboro, DE, Ralph Short and Jimmy Linus both of Lewes, DE.
Sunday was yet another good fishing day, but Monday will bring in some strong northwest winds.
There were so many fish caught on Sunday, I will have to save some for Monday when I suspect reports will be slim.
For those of us who fish the beach the arrival of kingfish is great news. Two of my friends, Brandy Timmons and Suzanna Martin, both had nice kings on Sunday with Brandy landing a 14-inch beauty.
Burt at Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em said he saw bluefin and yellowfin tuna to 24 pounds plus a 99-pound bigeye and a 54-pound true albacore come in from the canyons. In addition, there were several gaffer dolphin.
Rick’s Bait and Tackle weighed in a 4.8-pound trout (weakfish) caught at Massey’s Ditch. Dan’s Tackle Box issued three trout citations.
Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina said Dallas Johnson took young Jaiden Jester fishing in the Canal and they ended up with five flounder to 20 inches on white bucktails with white Gulp!
