This 159lb Mako shark was caught while fishing in the Poor Man’s Canyon using bluefish on the “No Limit” with Capt. John Azato, John Motley of Pike Creek, DE, Vito DiFrancesco of Wilmington, DE, Mike Baumgartner of Rehoboth, DE and Luke Horney of Hockessin, DE.

Monday was not quite as bad as advertised, but few if any boats fished the ocean or bay.

Another first was reported from the pier at Cape Henlopen State Park where Lighthouse View Tackle told us the first spot were caught.  A few flounder were also landed.

Tavin Mullen of Milford, DE fished the Judy V. with Capt. Chris Adams, and caught this 2lb and 17 inch flounder using a bucktail tipped with fresh cut blue fish.

Back to Sunday reports from Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina.  Frank Tucker and Otto Evans had four flounder to 18 inches, two 15-inch trout and a bluefish at Site 6.  Amy Popovich fished the Canal with minnows for a 16.5-inch flounder.  Josh Leppert used a bloodworm to fool a 17-inch flounder out of Roosevelt Inlet.  Steve Castelli also fished Roosevelt Inlet and caught an 18.5-inch flounder on a minnow.  The Joe Wagner family worked the Canal for a catch of flounder and trout.  Chuck Hazel caught a 4.8-pound flounder from the Broadkill River on a shiner.
