WGMD Fishing Report 6-7-19

Thursday saw a strong southwest wind that made it hard to fish out of Ocean City, Maryland where my friend Harry Yingling and I spent most of the day.  We tried every bit of water from the Route 50 Bridge way past Bahia Marina and from the Inlet to the Airport behind Assateague Island.  I was using my proven day-glow orange Gulp! crawfish and Harry was using the tried and true squid and minnow combination.  We fished from 8:00 AM until 2:00 PM and never had a bite.  We never saw a fish caught and spoke with several other anglers, none of whom had any luck.  On Friday, we will give Delaware Bay a shot.

Amanda at Lewes Harbour Marina said Carl Swinn used an SP Minnow to fool a 32 and a 34-inch rockfish out of Indian River inlet on the morning tide.  Kevin Legates, Chris Ragni, Sr. and Bill Swords had a great catch of gray and golden tiles plus dolphin and rosefish at the canyons on Wednesday.

There was a good run of eight-inch spot at the fishing pier.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing Report.
