WGMD Fishing Report 8-19-20

Hermann-Financial

Tuesday saw the wind drop out, but the seas were pretty steep.  A few boats did run out to the ocean while others stayed in Delaware Bay.

The Morning Star out of Ocean City was one boat that tried the ocean and reported seas of eight feet.  He also reported good sea bass fishing with several limits on the boat.  He didn’t report on how many passengers lost their breakfast.

At Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em we finally got the name of the angler that caught the 10.1-pound flounder on the Judy V just before the latest storm.  Paul Westley Frank is the very lucky and/or very talented fisherman who now holds the honor of having the largest flounder in Delaware this year.  On Tuesday, the Judy V had a few flounder, but nothing that approached the ten-pound mark.  A private boat came in with a good catch of black sea bass from the Del-Jersey-Land Reef.

Tommy at Lewes Harbour Marina said the Katydid ran a half-day trip and caught sea bass and dolphin.  The Grizzly did about the same.

This is Eric Burnley with your WGMD fishing report.
