More tuna and dolphin fish or mahi arrived at the scales Tuesday afternoon. The scales were jumping as soon as they opened at 4pm with a total of 26 fish being weighed. The leaderboard for tuna changed twice with an 85 pounder brought in on the Marli out of Ocean City – grabbing the top spot – for about 15 minutes. The Reel Blessed out of Ocean City brought in the second tuna of the afternoon which weighed in at 91.5 pounds but even that wouldn’t survive the night after a 110.5-pound big-eye arrived around 8pm on the See Legs out of Fenwick Island.
Several dolphin also were weighed.
The weather was much better Tuesday and a big parade of 255 boats headed through the Ocean City Inlet at 4:30 Tuesday morning. There are 4 more days of fishing in the 53rd Annual White Marlin Open.
