2026 MEMORIAL DAY EVENTS

Mon, May 25 – Milford – 10:30am – Memorial Day Ceremony at Milford HS. A community gathering to remember and honor 250 years of ultimate sacrifice

Mon, May 25 – Lewes – 11am Canal-side Memorial Day tribute parade from @ 3rd St & Savannah Road to American Legion Post 17. There will be a community ceremony at Post 17 after the parade – @1pm

Mon, May 25 – Rehoboth Beach – 11am – Commemoration of fallen US service members with American Legion Post 5 at the Bandstand

Mon, May 25 – Long Neck – 11am Sussex AMVETS Post 2 will hold a Memorial Day Ceremony at 11am. Remember and Honor – lunch will be served after the ceremony. All are welcome

Mon, May 25 – Seaford – 11am – American Legion Nanticoke Post 6 Memorial Day Ceremony at Kiwanis Park (or Seaford HS if raining) followed by an Open House at Post 6 with flag raising, Memorial Service and lunch at 12:30pm

Mon, May 25 – Ocean Pines – 11am – Memorial Day Ceremony at the Veterans Memorial Park at Ocean Pines

Mon, May 25 – Salisbury – 11am – Memorial Day Ceremony at the Wicomico War Veterans’ Memorial at the Wicomico Civic Center. (Midway Room if bad weather).

Mon, May 25 – Harrington – 11am – American Legion CKRT Post 7 – Memorial Day Ceremony at Hollywood Cemetery. Luncheon following the Ceremony

Mon, May 25 – Ellendale – 1pm – Annual Memorial Day Service at the War Memorial to recognize the Ellendale residents who have served their country and “Gave All.”

Mon, May 25 – Dover – 2pm – Memorial Day Ceremony at the Kent County Veterans Park will be moved inside the administration building behind the memorial. The entrance will be through the double doors on the south side of the building.  Keynote address by US Army Nurse Rhona Prescott, served in Vietnam in 1967-68
