UPDATED: Two Additional Arrests in Shooting Death of Seaford Man in Cambridge in June


UPDATED – 08/01/25 – Two more suspects have been arrested in the shooting death of 23 year old Alyson Elien of Seaford in Cambridge in June. Cambridge Police arrested 20 year old Ja’sire Kane of Cambridge last Friday on the following offenses:

  • Conspiracy Murder 1st Degree 
  • Murder 2nd Degree 
  • Assault 1st Degree 
  • Assault 2nd Degree 
  • Loaded Handgun on Person 
  • Handgun on Person 
  • Firearm Use Felony Violent Crime 
  • Possession Firearm Minor 
  • Armed Robbery 
  • Robbery 
  • Alter Physical Evidence Criminal Proceeding

Kane has been turned over to the Dorchester County Department of Corrections on no bond.

This week police in Havre de Grace arrested 18 year old Kah’Zion Johnson of Havre de Grace in connection with the murder of Elien. Johnson is also being held on the following offenses: 

  • Murder 1st Degree   
  • Conspiracy Murder 1st Degree
  • Murder 2nd Degree 
  • Assault 1st Degree 
  • Assault 2nd Degree 
  • Loaded Handgun on Person 
  • Handgun on Person 
  • Firearm Use Felony Violent Crime   
  • Possession Firearm Minor 
  • Armed Robbery   
  • Robbery 
  • Alter Physical Evidence Criminal Proceeding 
  • Regulated Firearm Stolen

Johnson is being held in the Harford County Department of Corrections without bond.

Elien was found outside a vehicle in a driveway on Camelia Street in Cambridge with a gunshot wound to the head on June 8th. He was pronounced dead at the hospital. Two others have also been charged in Elien’s murder.

UPDATED – 07/07/25 – Police in Cambridge have arrested a second suspect in connection with a homicide that occurred on June 8th. Investigation into the shooting of 23 year old Alyson Elien of Seaford, who died from a gunshot wound to the head, led to the arrest of 18 year old Nisiah Jeremiah Fletcher of Cambridge on Sunday.

Fletcher is charged with multiple offenses:

  • Murder 1st Degree
  • Conspiracy Murder 1st Degree  
  • Murder 2nd Degree  
  • Assault 1st Degree  
  • Assault 2nd Degree  
  • Loaded Handgun on Person  
  • Handgun on Person  
  • Firearm Use Felony Violent Crime  
  • Possession Firearm Minor  
  • Armed Robbery  
  • Robbery  
  • Regulated Firearm Stolen  
  • Alter Physical Evidence Criminal Proceeding

Fletcher is being held in the Dorchester County Department of Corrections without bond.

UPDATED – 06/10/25 –  Cambridge Police arrested 15 year old Jakai Wilson of Cambridge during a traffic stop on June 10th. Wilson was in the back seat of a vehicle and arrested without incident in connection with the shooting death of 23 year old Alyson Elien of Seaford on June 8th.

Wilson is charged with the following:

  • Murder 1st Degree  
  • Conspiracy Murder 1st Degree (4 counts) 
  • Murder 2nd Degree

He is being held without bond at the Dorchester County Department of Corrections.

ORIGINAL STORY – 06/09/25 – Police in Cambridge are investigating the murder of a Seaford man Sunday. Police were called to Camelia Street just after 8:30 Sunday night and found a 23 year old male victim outside a vehicle in a driveway with a gunshot wound to the head. Police attempted life-saving measures, but the victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police have identified the victim as 23 year old Alyson Elien of Seaford. Investigation has led police to identify a suspect – 15 year old Jakai Wilson of Cambridge, who is being charged as an adult, but are also attempting to identify other accomplices.

Police say the firearm that was recovered from the scene was a 9mm Beretta which had been reported stolen to the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office on June 5th where it had been stolen from a vehicle.

Police say video footage shows several individuals surrounded the victim and never rendered any type of aid, but took items from the victim’s vehicle and from the victim. The investigation is on-going and police ask anyone with information to call 410-228-3333.
