Easton Police Arrest Federalsburg Man in August, 2025 Robbery and Assault


Easton Police, with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Capital Regional Fugitive Task Force (CARFTF), arrested a 44-year-old Federalsburg, Maryland man on charges including robbery, second-degree assault, theft, and malicious destruction of property. James D. Shacochis Jr. was transferred to the Talbot County Detention Center. The charges stem from an incident on August 29th, 2025 incident on Commerce Drive, where police say Shacochis assaulted a 67-year-old man who had been trying to record him with their phone. Shacochis is accused of pulling the victim from the car, striking and kicking聽 him and destroying his phone before fleeing. The victim sustained injuries consistent with an assault.
