Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 05/07/26
Wednesday was just as windy as Tuesday with small craft advisories up through Thursday.
Lewes Harbour Marina and Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em told me no boats sailed on Wednesday.
Old Inlet Bait and Tackle did say a few large striped bass were caught out of the South Pocket early on Wednesday morning. Bucktails and plugs such as SP Minnows, Bombers and Rebels were used.
I spoke with Carol at Taylored Tackle in Seaford and she said folks have been buying bait, but no one has been catching fish due to the wind.
Steve at Smith Bait in Leipsic had some good news. When the wind isn’t blowing, black drum have been caught at the Coral Beds off of Slaughter Beach and from shore at Broadkill Beach on sand fleas and clams
