Early Morning Crash on Route 24 Near Oak Orchard Damages Utility Pole

Traffic on Route 24 near Oak Orchard was detoured for some time early Monday morning after a crash with downed wires in the area of Rosedale and Gull Point Roads.

Indian River emergency personnel were called just after 4:30am and found a GMC Sierra pickup that went off the road and struck a utility pole and ended up in a nearby field.

The utility pole was severed and wires were in the roadway.

Delaware State Police are investigating.
