Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 06/05/26
Thursday the weather was even better and so was the fishing.
Patty at Captain Bones in Odessa recorded a new state record flathead catfish. Scott Failor landed the impressive catch out of the Delaware River at Augustine Beach on a chunk of shad. It weighed a whopping 36.20 pounds.
Kevin at Lewes Harbour Marina had quite a day. He caught a nice mess of croaker at Slaughter Beach. Then moved to the Haystacks off of Lewes where he landed sheepshead on sand fleas and green crab. Back at work he saw flounder caught from the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal on minnows.
Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em saw the first bluefin tuna of the season hit their cleaning table on Thursday. The big fish were caught south of the Poorman’s Canyon.
