Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 06/12/26
Thursday was a beautiful summer day.
Dan at Dan’s tackle said he had very little business on Friday as the heat kept the modern anglers hiding in their air-conditioned comfort zones. Not like the days when he and I would have been out on the water catching fish and getting skin cancer.
Lewes Harbour Marina said the Katydid and the Grizzly had sea bass and flounder on Thursday.
Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park reported blues to 30 inches caught on top-water lures on Thursday morning. Spot and croaker on bloodworms with a few short flounder on minnows filled out the remainder of the day.
Old Inlet told us sheepshead were caught from the inlet rocks on sand fleas and green crabs. One angler fished the oceanside of the North Jetty with Gulp! and caught keeper flounder during mid-day.
