Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 06/16/26

Monday, we had to pay the bill for all those good weather and good fishing days. The wind was pretty strong and according to Lewes Harbour Marina and Hook ‘em and Cook ‘rm no boats cleared the inlet at Lewes or Indian River Inlet.

Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park reported a bit of a slow day due to the wind. However, there were croaker to 14 inches caught on bloodworms and Fishbites and a few small flounder taken on minnows.

Lewes Harbour Marina said a very few flounder were caught from the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal on minnows.

Old Inlet Bait and Tackle told us a few blues came through the Inlet and were caught on bucktails and metal lures.

Tuesday and Wednesday look much better for fishing.
