Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 08/09/26

Saturday was another perfect hot and humid August day and fishing was decent

Dan at Dan’s Tackle said he had lots of folks stop by to purchase bloodworms and Fishbites early in the day, but since most were from out of town they didn’t return at the end of the day to report their success or lack thereof. Judging by the bait they bought he would guess they caught spot and croaker from Broadkill Beach.

Lewes Harbour Marina told us the Katydid brought back sea bass and flounder from ocean structure. The head boat Angler worked Delaware Bay structure and caught spot and croaker. The Lewes and Rehoboth Canal gave up some nice croaker on bloodworms or Fishbites and a few keeper flounder on live minnows or bucktails or jigs decorated with Gulp! crawfish.
