Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 09/16/26

I must assume that once again no boats left their docks at Indian River Marina or Lewes Harbour Marina. Actually, Aaron at Lewes Harbour Marina told me no one left their docks and when I tried to call Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em no one answered the phone. Rough seas were the reason given for this lack of activity.

Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park reported spot, croaker and snapper blues in the coolers for pier patrons on Tuesday. Bloodworms or Fishbites for the spot and croaker with cut bait or small metal lures for the blues. Small black sea bass and short flounder were also caught from the pier.

Old Inlet said blue fishing was good at the Inlet with metal lures the top attractor. Sheepshead, tog and triggerfish were also caught.
