Alert to Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Businesses from Dewey Beach PD

Dewey Beach Police were called Saturday after a business owner noticed suspicious activity at their establishment. A white SUV with North Carolina tags let off about 7 juvenile girls – aged 6 to 12. Three went into local businesses and began talking to patrons – trying to sell ‘Koozies’ to restaurant patrons. The juveniles were asked to leave – police investigated however the vehicle was not located.

Dewey Beach Police say this type of activity has occurred in previous years and police ask for the business community’s cooperation – and to contact Dewey Beach PD if they have a similar incident.   If possible get a vehicle description and registration number. But don’t approach the operator or occupants of the vehicle.
