UPDATED: Bicyclist Dies after Hit & Run Crash on Coastal Hwy in Rehoboth Beach
UPDATED – 01/24/23 12:25 – The Delaware State Police have identified the bicyclist who died in a motor vehicle collision on January 22 at Coastal Highway near Rehoboth Avenue Extension as 54 year old Russell Harrison of Rehoboth Beach.

A bicycle rider was struck and killed by a hit and run driver just before 7:30 Sunday night on southbound Coastal Highway near Rehoboth Avenue Extension. Delaware State Police say the bicyclist was crossing Coastal Highway when he moved into the path of a southbound Altima. The victim was thrown into the median but the driver, a 40 year old man from Rehoboth Beach, kept going – and was located by police on Martin Street. The bicyclist was a 54 year old man from Rehoboth Beach who was taken to an area hospital and later pronounced dead. Charges are pending against the driver of the Altima.
