Dewey Beach Police Arrest Lewes Man on Criminal Trespass Charges

Dewey Beach Police have arrested a Lewes man for trespassing. Police were called to West Street for a residential burglar alarm around 9:30 Saturday night – and were contacted as well by the homeowner who saw an unknown male on her security camera who was not authorized to be on her property – and sent police pictures of the suspect from the security camera. Investigation led police to identify the suspect as 64 year old Frank Calvosa of Lewes.
Police were called about an hour later by the homeowner that the suspect had returned. Police found Calvosa hiding in an outdoor shower enclosure in the rear yard.
Calvosa was arrested and charged with 2 counts of 2nd degree criminal trespass.
Following his arrest, Calvosa was transported to the Dewey Beach Police Department, where he was arraigned by the Justice of the Peace Court.
He was subsequently committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution (SCI) under an intoxication hold.
