UPDATED: Dover Police Make Arrest in Deadly Shooting Sunday Morning

UPDATED 10/21/22 – Dover Police have arrested 30 year old Duante Morrison of Dover in connection with the shooting death of Jesse Holley last Sunday on South Bradford Street in Dover. Morrison was developed as a suspect during the investigation and a warrant obtained for his arrest. Officers from several agencies learned that Morrison was at Independent Strap Metal on Horsepond Road where he was arrested without incident. Morrison is charged with:

  • Murder First Degree
  • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
  • Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person
  • Reckless Endangering First Degree (2x)
  • Criminal Mischief Under $1,000 (2x)

He is being held at SCI on over $1-million cash bail.

UPDATED 10/17/22 – Dover Police have identified the man who died Sunday after a shooting on South Bradford Street as 29 year old Jesse Holley of Dover. Police were called just after 1am for a shooting. Holley was taken to Bayhealth Kent Campus where he later died from his injuries.

Dover Police were called for a shooting on South Bradford Street just after one Sunday morning. A 29 year old man with a gunshot wound to his lower body was located. He was taken to Bayhealth Kent Campus where he later died from his injuries.
