UPDATED: Fatal crash in Milford early Tuesday morning

UPDATED – 2pm – A Millsboro man is dead after a crash just after 2:30 Tuesday morning on Route 1 in Milford.  Milford Police a Suburban driven by 30 year old Glenn Outten of Harrington was northbound in the southbound lanes when he collided head on with an Escape driven by 56 year old Jay Richardson of Millsboro.  Richardson was pronounced dead at the scene.  A passenger in the Escape was flown to Christiana Hospital with life-threatening injuries.  Outten is charged with 1^st degree vehicular homicide, 1^st degree vehicular assault, DUI and other offenses.  Police say everyone was properly restrained.

Fatal Crash in Milford early this morning. Around 3 AM there was a serious head on crash on Milford Bypass and NE 10^th Street. there were multiple patients as a result of the accident, 2 trauma patients and 1 person was pronounced dead on arrival by EMS. The Highway was shut down for several hours during clean up and investigation.
