House Fire in Delmar Under Investigation

A house fire that occurred on East Pine Street in Delmar on Tuesday afternoon June 2nd is under investigation. According to the Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal, the blaze began at the back of the home. The fire alarm was present and activated and is what led to the discovery of the fire.  Three people were displaced. One adult was transported to Tidal Health for minor smoke inhalation. The total estimated loss from the fire at the two-story, wood-frame single-family home is estimated to be at around $250,000.
