John Shwed Re-elected as Mayor of Laurel

Laurel voters have re-elected John Shwed as Mayor. Shwed got 82 votes to 52 for challenger Mark Sikora. There were three council seats that were unopposed – newcomer Carlos Oliveras will represent Ward 1, incumbents Cheryl Martin will represent Ward 4 and Phillip Calio is the Councilman at-large.
