Wicomico County School officials say Prince Street Elementary School was place on lock down for about 20 minutes Monday morning after a school staff member reported a male juvenile showing a weapon outside on the school grounds. County Sheriff’s deputies responded and a school resource officer contacted and questioned two juveniles. One had a BB gun in his pants pocket – the other had a BB gun in his backpack. Nearby Bennett and Parkside High Schools were also placed on lock down as a precaution. There were no students in the schools – only teachers and staff who were completing their last day of school before summer break. The incident is being referred to Juvenile Services – the two boys were released to a parent.
