Man Arrested In Domestic Assault Case

A Harrington man faces charges related to a domestic disupte in which a woman was struck in the head with a handgun.

According to Harrington Police, the victim was assaulted during an argument with 23-year-old Laqwan Johnson. Police also said the woman was holding a one-year-old child at the time.

Johnson was taken into custody without incident. He is charged with with aggravated menacing, assault, weapons-related offenses and endangering the welfare of a child.

Police said Johnson was prohibited from possessing a firearm due to an unrelated felony conviction in 2016.
