The Maryland State Board of Elections and local elections boards are working to ensure that Marylanders will be able to vote early – and at the polls on the newly-scheduled date of the primary.
Marylanders now have until June 28th to register to vote in the July 19th primary.
A mail-in ballot must be requested by July 12th.
Early voting for the primary will take place July 7th through July 14th, including Saturday and Sunday.
The Maryland Court of Appeals last week ruled that the primary will be be moved from late June to July because of the ongoing legal battles over redistricting.

“We continue to work with the local boards to review any possible logistical issues resulting from the change to the election calendar, including the availability of early voting centers and election day polling places, recruitment of election judges for early voting and election day, and equipment allocation,” Maryland State Board of Elections Administrator Linda Lamone said.
