OCPD Arrest 6 Outside H20 Underage Club, Video Accuses OCPD of Beating Teen

A 6-second video of an incident early Thursday morning in Ocean City has been making the rounds on social media – which includes accusations that Ocean City Police beat up a 13 year old boy.  Ocean City Police conducted a business check just after midnight on July 5th on Worcester Street after a large crowd of about 100 people gathered outside Club H20.  A 20 year old man began yelling obscenities at the officers which incited the crowd many of which also began yelling obscenities as well.  Police arrested and charged six individuals – from 13 to 20 – for a variety of offenses – including disorderly conduct, obstructing and hindering and assault.  No injuries have been reported.  Ocean City Police tell WGMD the officers involved remain on regular duty at this time.
