One Student Arrested After Dorchester Sheriff’s Office Responds to Fights at Cambridge-South Dorchester HS Monday

Dorchester County Sheriff’s deputies were called to Cambridge-South Dorchester High School just after noon on Monday for a report of multiple fights involving students. Officials say the School Resource Officer was alerted to the initial disturbance and requested additional deputies after multiple, unrelated altercations occurred within a short timeframe in various areas around the school. Deputies determined that one incident involved a student assaulting another during class.

The victim was taken to an area hospital for evaluation and treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The student responsible was arrested, processed in accordance with juvenile procedures and released to a parent.
