Pocomoke Driver Seriously Injured in Crash at Delmar Speedway

A crash at the Delmar Speedway has left a 34 year old Pocomoke man with serious injuries.  Delaware State Police continue to investigate but say the driver was making a timed pass by himself when he lost control of his drag car, hit a guard rail, the finish line post and then went into a barrel role landing on the vehicle’s roof.  The driver was wearing a helmet and was restrained with safety belts.  He was flown to Christiana Hospital with serious life threatening injuries.  The Speedway was only open to drivers when the crash occurred.
