World War II Tower 3 at Delaware Seashore State Park is now open to the public. Visitors to Towers Beach along Route 1 in the park can now walk up the nearly 100 spiral steps to the top of the tower, which was built to help protect the Delaware coastline during the Second World War. If you visit the site, you’ll have access to the top of the rehabilitated coast defense tower, which offers panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and Inland Bays.
