Sen. Coons’ statement on the remains of U.S. soldiers returning from North Korea
U.S. Senator Chris Coons (D-Del.), a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, released the following statement on reports that North Korea has transferred the remains of 55 American soldiers killed in the Korean War to the U.S. military on Friday.
“I’m pleased to hear that North Korea has transferred the remains of these American soldiers to the U.S. military and, ultimately, the families of those whose lives were lost during the Korean War. The return of these remains has been a priority for the United States for decades, and I congratulate President Trump and Secretary of State Pompeo for facilitating this exchange.”
