When I stopped by Lewes Harbour Marina on Monday JB Walsh and his crew were putting the Top Fin in the water. Captain Pete Haines told me he has his first charter for tog on Saturday. Let’s hope the weather allows him to sail.

Some good news from DNREC Fish and Wildlife. I am 99.9% sure that the black sea bass season will begin on May 15 with a 13-inch minimum size limit and a 15-fish bag limit. The season will close on October 1st and reopen on October 9th. It will continue until December 31st. The state of Maryland will have the same season. Virginia’s season will be different due to their opening in February.

Dedicated trout fly fisherman, Ed O’Donnell, had his two grandsons, Fill and Max out on Saturday on the fly-fishing only section of White Clay Creek. The boys caught many rainbow trout on a variety of flies in the rain.
