Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 05/27/26
Tuesday a bright ball of light appeared in the sky and little children were afraid. Old timers told them to settle down, that was only the sun, long missing from the sky over Sussex County. The wind also went missing, causing the seas on the ocean to drop down to 3 to 4 feet.
Lewes Harbour Marina told us that the Katydid was the only boat out of their marina and he came back with a boat limit of black sea bass.
Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park said during the period of high water bluefish were caught from the pier on metal and top-water plugs.
Old Inlet Bait and Tackle reported that striped bass were caught on bucktails fished from the jetties at night and during the early morning hours.
