Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 07/13/26

I guess it was too much to hope we would have both weekend days with good weather as Sunday saw rough water on the ocean and Delaware Bay.

Dan at Dan’s Tackle said Broadkill Beach was crowded, but still produced spot and croaker on bloodworms and Fishbites.

Lewes Harbour Marina reported no boats left their docks, but a few small boats fished the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal and caught croaker.

Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park had an interesting report. It seems that over Saturday night some large striped bass were caught and released. One of the big stripers attracted a big shark and the angler had to cut his fish lose to save it from the shark. Spot and croaker on bloodworms and Fishbites made up the rest of the catch during high tides.
