Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 08/06/26

Tuesday was a hot August day. Fish were caught pretty much everywhere, but nowhere were a lot of fish caught.

Dan at Dan’s Tackle said Broadkill Beach saw spot and croaker caught on bloodworms and Fishbites. He had no reports from the Broadkill River.

Lewes Harbour Marina had reports of croaker from the Angler head boat that fished Delaware bay structure. Flounder and sea bass were caught by boats that fished ocean structure. Spot, croaker and 1 flounder were caught out of the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal.

Old Inlet said the Inlet produced blues under the bridge in the early morning on metal lures or bucktails. Striped bass were caught and released at night from the jetties on bucktails or plugs. Sheepshead, tog and triggerfish have been caught on sand fleas and green crabs during the day.
