Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 08/07/26

Thursday was another hot August day.

Patty at Captain Bones in Odessa recorded a Delaware Crappie Citation for Lucas Brookings for his 1.01-pounder caught from Lum’s Pond on a swimbait.

Carol at Taylored Tackle in Seaford had a Delaware Crappie Citation for Colleen Driscoll weighing 1.20 pounds and caught on a chatterbait from the Nanticoke River.

Smith Bait in Leipsic told us croaker and a few 20 to 24-inch striped bass were caught from the fishing pier at Woodland Beach on bloodworms or Fishbites. The jetty at Bowers Beach produced croaker and a few flounder. The flounder were caught on live minnows.

Dan’s Tackle said larger croaker were caught at Broadkill Beach. The Broadkill River gave up croaker and a few flounder.
