Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 08/23/26

Dan at Dan’s Tackle said the rain held down the number of folks at Broadkill Beach catching spot and croaker on lug worms and Fishbites. He did say he was selling a lot of chicken necks for crabbers at the Broadkill River.

Lewes Harbour Marina reported a few boats fished ocean structure for flounder and sea bass. The Lewes and Rehoboth Canal provided a bigger class of croaker plus a few keeper flounder. The Outer Wall and the Ice Breakers saw some sheepshead on sand fleas or green crabs.

Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park told us it was a slow day with just a few spot and croaker caught along with the usual short flounder.

Old Inlet had nothing new to report as blues, sheepshead and small tog were caught on Saturday.
