Talk of Delmarva Fishing Report 08/24/26

Dan at Dan’s Tackle closed early on Sunday, but I feel certain spot and croaker were caught on lug worms and Fishbites at Broadkill Beach. The Broadkill River still produced a better class of croaker and a few keeper flounder plus some nice-sized crabs.

Lewes Harbour Marina told me the Katydid had flounder and the Bottom Line had dolphin. The Pirate King and the Angler changed up their usual bay fishing, moving out to the ocean and catching sea bass and flounder. They even found croaker and spot out there. The Lewes and Rehoboth Canal saw the occasional keeper flounder plus a few croaker and spot.

Breakwater Tackle on the fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park said it was spot and croaker on either side of high tide.

Hook ‘em and Cook ‘em reported that their boats only fished for sea bass and flounder.
